# Sceptre

Sceptre is Jester’s non-custodial auto-trading system, built for speed, reliability, and scale. It connects directly to your exchange accounts — starting with **Hyperliquid** — and executes trades on your behalf using your own API keys. At no point does Sceptre hold your funds.

#### Why Sceptre?

* **Performance at the core** – architected so that heavy tasks like backtesting never interfere with live trading.
* **Cloud-deployed** – new instances can be spun up instantly, ensuring Sceptre scales with demand.
* **Permanent test bot** – Alpha users get early access to new features before they are deployed to the public bot.
* **Non-custodial by design** – you stay in control of your assets, while Sceptre handles execution.

#### The Alpha Phase

Sceptre is launching first in **Alpha**. This means you should expect bugs, quick fixes, and rapid iteration. Updates are pushed the moment they’re ready — nothing is held back.

Alpha testers are essential in shaping Sceptre’s growth. By participating, you not only help stabilize and improve the system, but you also earn **Valour for the Brave** — recognition for stepping forward first.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://jester.gitbook.io/docs/tools/sceptre.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
